The Makita XGT series promises to provide high-performance equipment, and at STAFDA 2021, we saw how the latest extension of the system can provide it. The most impressive in this group is the Makita 80V max XGT 14-inch power cutter.

We don't have a lot of information early in the game, but as more information becomes available, we will continue to update this article.

The Makita XGT power cutter is a tool with a maximum of 80V. It uses two XGT batteries with a maximum of 40V, similar to the way that a 36V LXT tool uses two 18V LXT batteries. Any two XGT batteries are fine, but you have to make sure that they have the same capacity. The larger the battery, the longer the running time.

It is a full-size 14-inch saw whose design is inspired directly by its gas saw. In terms of handle placement and operation during the cutting process, this is a simple transition.

As we would expect from any power cutter, the saw has a built-in water delivery system. Even better, it is compatible with electric cutting carts, which provide an onboard water tank that allows you to cut from a standing position.

As part of the announcement, Makita now has an 8.0Ah XGT battery. Using two of these packages, the onboard capacity of the power cutter is as high as 576Wh!

The bag is obviously larger than what you want to use on the handheld tool. However, it is very suitable for the larger equipment we expect Makita will launch with the expansion of the production line.

There are many exciting reasons for the battery power of the Makita 80V max XGT power cutter. However, this is not only the benefit of reducing noise, emissions and maintaining gas.

It opens up many internal cutting applications, in these applications, the performance of the air saw is better, and the electric saw keeps popping up the circuit breaker. Coupled with the reduced vibration, it is easy to see that GEC01 has become the power cutter of choice for many contractors.

We are still waiting for pricing and availability. Once the final production unit is ready for shipment, we should know more. Of course, there are ongoing transportation problems that plague everyone. Currently, we expect it to arrive sometime in 2022.

Makita has made great strides in helping professional lawn care workers switch from natural gas to battery power. When it was first released, there was also a string trimmer and blower, and […]
