Si6 Metals (SI6) has completed its first hollow core drilling program for its Monument Gold Project in the Gold District of Laverton, Washington.

126 holes, 4198 meters, were drilled on 60 targets, 50 of which intersected felsic intrusive rocks, including felsic granite, porphyry and granodiorite.

The plan is co-funded through the Western Australian Government’s Exploration Incentive Program (EIS), which will allow the company to reimburse 50% of its direct drilling costs, up to US$75,000.

The samples have now been sent for gold and multi-element analysis, full rock geochemical analysis of bottom hole samples to characterize rock types, and spectroscopic analysis to determine the type of alteration associated with intrusion-related gold mineralization.

Executive Chairman Patrick Holywell said that completing the plan in such a rapid manner is a good result.

“The plan is designed to focus on 60 high-priority targets, seeing more than 50 of the 126 holes drilled intersect the high-level felsic intrusive rock we are targeting. This is a good result,” Holly Mr. Weil said.

The company expects to receive preliminary results within four weeks.

Si6 Metals opened at 1.3 cents on Tuesday.
