Webster County man may tamper with evidence through drug use: police

On Tuesday night, a man in Webster County was taken to the hospital after being arrested. Police said they noticed a white powdery substance on his lips and feared that he might have swallowed dangerous drugs.

The incident in Webster County on Tuesday night resulted in a man from Diamond, Kentucky being sent to a hospital and county jail.

The Providence Police Department stated that it all started around 9:00 on Tuesday night when the police saw a man they believed to be 35-year-old David Snodgrass of Diamond. PPD said officials knew that Snodgrass had a replacement order for allegations related to the attack.

When the police approached the man, they said he refused to obey and did not want to reveal who he was. After officials confirmed that the man was Snodgrass, they said he refused to arrest until they threatened to use a taser.

After being detained, the police said they found a glass methamphetamine tube and a bag of drugs believed to be methamphetamine on Snodgrass.

Snodgrass was taken to Webster County Jail, where officials and staff said they noticed a white powdery substance on his lips. PPD said officials were concerned that he might have tampered with the evidence by taking medicine.

After being taken to the hospital and refusing treatment, Snodgrass was taken back to Webster County Jail, where he was charged with the following charges:
