When complex and/or deep contours must be created at high feed rates and low cutting forces, cycloid speed cutting (TSC) is the perfect machining strategy. All you need to start is a state-of-the-art programming system, such as Solid CAM iMachining or Hypermill with Maxx Machining. In addition, machine kinematics and drives should be able to withstand high speed and dynamic load changes. After all, special TSC tools need to move along their overlapping elliptical orbiting path, traversing the entire length of the cutting edge, and passing the material to be removed in absolutely perfect time. Therefore, under high-speed conditions and greatly reduced vibration, users can achieve faster processing times and less wear than traditional full-slot milling—especially under critical use conditions or difficult-to-cut materials.

"Trotch Speed ​​Cutting" (TSC) is a dynamic milling method that combines an ideal cutting speed with a continuous elliptical/circular path calculated based on the average chip thickness. It is also called trochoidal milling or slot milling. Compared with traditional full-slot milling, due to the almost constant cutting force, machining with the smallest possible tool is the most effective and economical strategy.
