Tata Motors has expanded its product lineup in the country by launching the Punch small SUV. There are four variant options for the mini SUV-Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Punch is the company's first product based on the ALFA architecture. 

The main features of Tata Punch are as follows:

Tata Punch is a pure charmer. Its SUV styling elements include door cladding, iconic humanized lines, eye-catching wheel arches and door sill cladding. According to different models, the Punch ultra-compact SUV is available in seven monochrome and two-color options, including Orcus White (optional black roof), Daytona Grey (optional black roof), Tropical Mist (optional black roof), Atomic orange (optional black roof), meteor bronze (optional black roof), tornado blue (optional white roof) and Calypso red (optional white roof). In order to facilitate entry and exit, the vehicle uses a 90-degree door opening. The tail profile is decorated with eye-catching LED taillights.

The 16-inch wheels are limited to the top-spec Creative variants, while the remaining wheels are 15-inch wheels. In addition, projector headlights and LED DRL are also limited to top models. To ensure smooth passage on rough terrain, Tata Punch has an approach angle of 20.3 degrees and a departure angle of 37.6 degrees. In addition, the vehicle has an unloaded ramp of 22.2 degrees. The ground clearance of the mini SUV is about 187mm.

Punch provides high-quality interiors with a three-arrow design, supplemented by a two-tone dashboard layout. In addition, the car is also equipped with vents in the same color as the body and a D-cut steering wheel to further enhance the internal layout. For convenience, the vehicle provides a flat floor at the rear to provide a sense of space for the occupants. Depending on the model, Punch is equipped with a leather steering wheel and gear knob, automatic climate control, pressing the start/stop button, automatic folding ORVM and rear seat armrests. In addition, it also provides a height-adjustable driver's seat and cooling glove box to increase convenience. 

The company claims that Punch provides more than 25 practical spaces and a large enough 366 liters of luggage space. The Rhythm package in the Pure variant also provides a floating 3.5-inch infotainment screen, four speakers, and steering audio control. The Rhythm package in the Adventure variant provides a 7-inch Harman infotainment device with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two tweeters and a rear camera. The Dazzle bag in the Accomplished variant is equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED DRL, projector headlights, and black tape on the A-pillar. The iRA package is optional on the Creative variant, which provides IRA connected car technology.  

Depending on the model, Punch also provides some features, such as a 7-inch Harman touch screen infotainment device with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six speakers (four speakers and two tweeters), seven-inch color TFT, USB port , Voice recognition and voice alert for driver assistance.

Under the hood, the Tata Punch is powered by a new-generation 1.2-liter Revotron gasoline engine that can produce 84bhp at 6,000 rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3,300 rpm. The engine is equipped with five-speed manual and AMT options. This mini SUV provides two engine drive modes (Eco and City) to meet individual driving needs. Interestingly, the AMT option gets the first "Traction Professional Mode", which is particularly useful in situations where one of the wheels is stuck on a muddy or low-traction surface. In addition, for more convenience, the vehicle provides cruise control and idle start-stop modes, which can automatically turn off the engine when signals and traffic signals are used to further improve fuel efficiency. 

Tata Punch has recently received five-star adult protection and four-star child occupant protection from the global NCAP. This micro SUV has already received the first brake sway control system-it is reported that it can detect unstable trends during sudden braking before the ABS is activated to prevent the vehicle from swaying from the driving path. The list of safety features includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD and corner safety control, front fog lights with cornering function, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, parameter alarm systems, reversing cameras, tire puncture repair kits, and driver and co-pilot Safety belt reminder.
