Ex-Red Wings Renouf and Pickard placed on waivers

Both Dan Renouf and Calvin Picakrd saw duty last season with the Detroit Red Wings. Each signed with new NHL clubs as free agents in the offseason, but neither was able to make the grade.

Goaltender Pickard was placed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers. Pickard played three games for Detroit last season, posting a 1-1 record, 4.30 goals-against average and .875 save percentage.
