Toric carbide endmill from Mikron Tool can plunge perpendicularly into the material up to 1xD

Mikron Tool has introduced a toric version of its CrazyMill Cool P&S milling cutter. The new tool combines the strengths of milling and drilling and is designed for machining stainless steel, titanium, CoCr alloys, and superalloys.

This drill/milling cutter can plunge perpendicularly into the material up to 1xD and then continue machining laterally. It mills slots and pockets in the tightest of spaces, according to the company.

It is available in the diameter range of 1 to 8 mm in the following two versions: Typ A and Typ C.

Typ A: 2.5xD CrazyMill Cool P&S Corner Radius, cutting length 2.5xd, Z3. Typ C: 5xD CrazyMill Cool P&S Corner Radius, cutting length 2.0xD, Z3.

The OSG A-Brand ADO-MICRO coolant through drill is ideal for applications in carbon, alloy and stainless steels, as well as cast iron, aluminum alloy, titanium and HRSA materials. It is available in 0.7mm through 2mm diameters and up to 20 times diameter lengths.
